Reindeer Town
Candy and Jake were 16 when they first fell in love,
Next thing you know Jake is holding his first born in his arms.
Jake dropped out quick and he joined up the factory line,
Making toys in Santas workshop for a dime.
Well the hours were long and the work was tough,
But Jake had Candy, and that was enough.
1,000 years later Jakes working and times have been rough,
They've got 42 kids now and paychecks month to month.
The workshops been slow and the unions bought to bust,
Jakes leather hands makes toys no one wants, they just gather dust.
Well the call comes in and the line shuts down,
Now we're all livin in a rundown reindeer town.
Workshops closed, Big Man's not around
Trying to plant roots in a snowy ground
But theres a polar wind blowing the factory down.
Well Jakes out of work and Candy she's long gone,
Took a job at the North Pole diner, yeah she's moved on.
Sometimes Jake looks through the window to see her face,
this Christmas Eve he's ready leave, get out of this place.
Well he's packed up his bags, but he's got nowhere to go
So he walks in the dark disappears in the snow.
He thinks about Candy, and what could have been
Now he's walkin out of this rundown reindeer town.
Workshops closed, Big Man's not around
Trying to plant roots in a snowy ground
But theres a polar wind blowing the factory down.
